Bio

David is the Chief Strategy Officer at UVeye and is leading the expansion of UVeye into new markets. In addition, David currently serves as a board member of several startups and holds a BSc in Computer Science from Hebrew University (Cum Laude).

With his combined R&D background and business expertise, David has afforded UVeye, together with major mobility players, the ability to identify the current and future needs of the Automotive Industry. UVeye implements high-end solutions for transportation mobility by providing automatic external inspection of vehicles, using advanced technologies that include proprietary hardware combined with machine learning and computer-vision algorithms.

Ofer Lavi

Ofer is an AI Research Scientist at IBM Research, Haifa, focusing on AI Strategy and the role of Machine Learning within our professional life.

He received his B.Sc. degree in Computer Science from the Hebrew University in 2001, and his M.Sc. in Computer Science from Tel Aviv University in 2010, conducting research in the field of bioinformatics.

Ofer started his way as an entrepreneur, co-founded a startup company in the fields of machine learning and natural language processing and has joined IBM Research Haifa lab in 2010. He managed the Machine Learning Technologies Group where he led the development of various machine and deep learning algorithms for AI applications focusing on deep natural language understanding. Ofer also serves as a technical advisor at the IBM Alpha Zone Accelerator.

Yoav Tzruya

Yoav is Partner and CEO, JVP Cyber Labs and Venture Partner, JVP.

Yoav is an experienced investor, executive and general manager. His investments include CyActive (acquired by Paypal), ThetaRay (co-investment with General Electric), Morphisec (co-investment with Deutsche Telecom, GE), Coro.net, ScadaFence, SDO, Uponit, AnyClip and others.

He specializes in cyber security, media, Internet, value-added services and online content.

Orly Stern Izhaki

Orly has over 16 years of experience in fintech and digital, including building Pepper – the first digital bank in Israel.

Orly recently joined Menora Mivtachim Insurance, one Israel’s five largest insurance companies, operating in all the main insurance sectors in Israel – general insurance, life insurance and health insurance.

Yonatan Wexler

Dr. Yonatan Wexler has researched the field of Computer Vision at the University of Maryland, Oxford University, the Weizmann Institute of Science, and Microsoft. His focus is on efficient use of pictorial information from images and videos and he is the recipient of the David Marr Prize (2003) for his academic research.

OrCam’s mission is to harness the power of artificial vision by incorporating pioneering technology into a wearable platform which improves the lives of individuals who are blind, visually impaired, and have reading difficulties.

OrCam was jointly founded in 2010 by Prof. Amnon Shashua and Mr. Ziv Aviram, who are also the co-founders of Mobileye which was acquired by Intel in 2017 for $15 billion.

Mila Finkelshtein

Mila Finkelshtein is an entrepreneur, corporate storyteller and an expert in message delivery and efficient communication. Mila consults CEOs, executives, and entrepreneurs on content messaging and speech delivery. She articulates her clients’ value propositions, develops their positioning strategy, helping them better approach their audience, tell their story and shine.

Previously, Mila held positions in sales management, marketing and business development in the Hi-Tech and financial industries.

Mila works with Future of AI to prepare speakers, panel moderators and MCs.

Shai Dekel

Shai is the head of AI at Wix, an associate visiting professor at the school of mathematics at Tel Aviv university, and an angel investor.

Wix is one of Israel’s leading technology companies and a global leader in its category. It provides a world class website building platform to over 110 million users in 190 countries.

Wix was founded in Israel in 2006 and went public in 2013. It employs ~ 2,000 employees and has a market cap of ~ $2.7 billion as of February 2018.

 

Adi Avidor

Prior to co-founding Twiggle, Adi co-founded the networking infrastructure engineering group in Google Israel (recognized as one of Google’s top achievements in 2008), and led high impact search projects such as Spell Checker, Calculator, and Google Now.

At the age of 18, Adi received his B.Sc. in Math and Computer Science from Tel Aviv University, with distinction. Adi went on to receive his PhD in Theoretical Computer Science. He was awarded “outstanding student” distinction (one of five awarded yearly) as an algorithmic researcher in Israel’s famous Technology and Intelligence Unit 8200.

Twiggle offers Natural Language Search for E-Commerce. It was founded in 2014 and has raised $35 million to date.

Zvika Orron

Zvika has more than a decade of experience in frontier technologies, through developing physiological sensors, signal processing algorithms, interpreting and deriving actionable insights out of big data sets, and the design and manufacturing of consumer electronic devices. Zvika’s areas of investment at Carmel include IoT, mobility, AR/VR, drones and wearables.

Prior to joining Carmel, Zvika was the Co-founder and CTO of LifeBEAM, an AI wearable technology company.

Zvika was a pilot in the Israeli Air Force and still serves in reserves. He holds his B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in biomedical engineering from Tel Aviv University and is a graduate of Singularity University.
