Emanuel Timor

Emanuel joined Vertex in 1998 and possesses nearly twenty years of experience working closely with start-ups. Emanuel worked closely with start-ups in the fields of Enterprise, Cyber-Security, Automotive and Networking platforms. Among his most recent successes, his investment in portfolio company Percello led to its profitable acquisition by Broadcom.

Emanuel works closely and sits on the board of directors of Innoviz, E8 Storage, MultiPhy, Sidense, WireX and DB Maestro.

Prior to joining Vertex, Emanuel was an articled apprentice at an Israeli law firm where he acquired expertise in IPOs and M&As. From 1992 to 1997, Emanuel was one of the leading financial journalists for Globes, Israel`s daily business newspaper. He covered the Israeli high-tech and venture capital industry.

Emanuel received a B.A. in Economics and an LL.B from Tel Aviv University, Israel.

Dudu Mimran

Dudu is an expert in AI, Cyber Security, Big Data, IoT, Fintech and Telecommunications. He held roles of CTO, GM, VP R&D, Strategy consultant and co-founder of multiple startups. He has been involved in over 50 patents and research papers.

Lior Rokach

Prof. Rokach’s research mainly focuses on Data Science, Machine Learning, Big Data and their applications.

Prior to joining Ben-Gurion University, Prof. Rokach was involved for more than 15 years in the Israeli hi-tech industry. In particular, he co-founded and led the R&D of intelligent systems that incorporate AI within data-intensive systems to reason, learn, and act intelligently in the real world.

Rokach has authored several popular books in data science, including Data Mining with Decision Trees. He is also the editor of “The Data Mining and Knowledge Discovery Handbook” and “Recommender Systems Handbook”.

Toby Olshanetsky

Toby is an entrepreneur and business leader with 18 years of, sales, marketing and senior management experience (CEO & Board member) in cyber security, financial, eCommerce & online banking, social networks, cloud tech, SaaS, big data and mobile. Toby has participated in successful start-ups, raised over $55 million, lead all significant contract negotiations for strategic partnerships, key customers, joint ventures and mergers and acquisitions.

Wen Chu

A serial entrepreneur from China, Wen is aware that the impact he alone can make is limited so he has dedicated his life to enabling others to improve the world through mobile innovation. To this end, he started GWC in 2008, a business with the mission to enable mobile innovation that positively impacts mankind by building connections and trust among mobile innovators. He also launched the Global Mobile Internet Conference (GMIC) in Beijing, Silicon Valley, Bangalore, Tokyo, Jakarta, Sao Paulo and Taipei.

GMIC draws tens of thousands of investors to build partnerships, learn from industry thought leaders and highlight how mobile innovation is positively changing the world. Noam is a seriel entrepreneur and the country manager at iam+, overseeing operations, driving innovation and forming partnerships with startups and innovators in fields of AI, deep learning, health, wellness and IoT.

i.am+ is a Hollywood-based technology company which has raised $123 million to date. It was founded by will.i.am, an artist, singer, performer, 7 times grammy winner and tech entrepreneur. Its vision is to create a community of creatives and coders, and through music and technology as the first step, to usher in a powerful new era built on AI.

Noam joined iam+ in 2015 when iam+ acquired his startup Sensiya.

Ben Rabinowitz

Ben focuses on Amiti’s investment strategy, deal flow, deal execution, and on guiding portfolio companies to create and lead new markets and grow from seed stage to market leadership.
Founded in 2010, Amiti is a Chicago-based VC that invests in Israeli technology companies. It has invested in a number of leading companies including Autotalks, a smart vehicle communication company, Innoviz Technologies, which develops technologies for autonomous driving, and more.
Ben brings 15+ years of operational and investment leadership experience in Israeli Tech. He has a successful track record in identifying strong teams; leading M&A; setting product strategy; executing product strategies as well as building high growth organizations. Ben serves on a number of Amiti portfolio companies’ boards of directors. Ben holds an MBA from Georgetown University.

Yonatan Gorfung

Yonatan leads the Sports Tech, IoT, Energy & Resources domains for Deloitte’s Innovation Tech Terminal, scouting for multinational companies searching for innovative technologies in these areas, and working closely with start-ups that target these industries.
