Hisham Abdulhalim

Hisham researches artificial intelligence, ethics and the interface between them – in the industry and the academia. He is the Staff PM at Intuit Israel, responsible for the portfolio of artificial intelligence development in the Israeli center.

Hisham holds a bachelor’s and master’s degrees in software engineering, a 2nd master’s in science and digital philosophy, and is currently pursuing his Ph.D. focusing on ethics in artificial intelligence at Ben Gurion University.

Jeff Nygaard

Jeff is EVP of Operations, Products, Technology, Quality and Customer Technical Engagement.

Leading a global organization, Jeff Nygaard manages over 38,000 people who speak nine languages and live on five continents. He first started working at Seagate as an engineer.  During his tenure, he has been instrumental in improving financial performance, building high-performance teams, integrating a competitor’s business, developing strategic alliances, and restructuring Seagate.  Nygaard reflects the senior management team’s philosophy that a holistic, responsible business — one that treats people, the environment, and our community with respect — enables better results.

Nygaard is an American Chamber of Commerce Thailand Board Member and past President.  He holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Minnesota, with a focus on Robotics and Control System Design.  He is a certified Six Sigma Master Black Belt.  He lives in Thailand with his wife and two children.

Yair Ephrati

Before joining Value Base, Yair served as CEO of Meitav- Dash Mergers & Acquisitions, a leading player in the Israeli investment banking industry. Before becoming an investment banker, Yair was with McKinsey & Co. In London and New York where he led teams advising Fortune 100 companies on new market development, acquisitions, and strategy.

Yair also serves as Chairman and CEO of Eden Energy Discoveries (TASE: EDEN), a public company engaged in in oil & gas exploration. He holds an MBA from the University of Michigan and a BA in Economics and Business from Tel Aviv University.

Gerson Panitch
